The 2009 Chrysler Sebring has come a long way since its introduction back in 1995. 2009 Chrysler Sebring Performance
The 2009 Sebring Convertible has a standard 173 horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine on all trim levels. The 3.5-liter V6, attached to a six-speed automatic, is optional on the Sebring Limited Convertible. The 3.5-liter V6 accelerates from zero to 60 in 8.3 seconds. The Sebring Touring Convertible has an available 2.7-liter V6, with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
The Chrysler Sebring ride is smooth and tranquil, whether you’re driving on an open highway at top speeds or driving in stop and go traffic on a city street. Fuel economy for the 3.5-liter V6 is 16 mpg in the city, 27 mpg highway; 18 mpg city and 26 mpg highway for the 2.7-liter V6, and 20 mpg city, 29 mpg highway for the 2.4-liter 4-cylinder.
2009 Chrysler Sebring Body and Interior
Of all the Sebrings, the new 2009 Convertible Sebring is the most luxurious. The interior is spacious and it features an appealing art deco design. The LX features 16” x 6.5” steel wheels with wheel covers, cloth low-back bucket seats, and power six-way driver and front passenger seats along with AM/FM stereo radio w/in-dash 6-disc DVD/MP3 player.
The Touring convertible has 17” x 7.0” aluminum wheels and the interior features premium cloth bucket seats, power 6-way driver and front passenger seats, stain repelling fabric, and AM/FM stereo radio with in-dash 6-disc DVD/MP3 player. The Limited also has AM/FM stereo radio with in-dash 6-disc DVD/MP3 player, as well as premium leather-trimmed bucket seats, heated front seats, power 6-way driver and front passenger seats, and driver-side manually adjustable lumbar support. The 2009 Sebring Limited Convertible comes with 18” x 7.0” chrome clad aluminum wheels.
All models come equipped with SIRIUS Satellite Radio and one year of SIRIUS Radio service.
2009 Chrysler Sebring Safety
The 2009 Chrysler Sebring has a number of standard and optional safety features. Four-wheel antilock brakes, advanced multistage airbags and supplemental front seat-mounted side air bags, and the Sentry Key® Theft-Deterrent System come standard on all trim levels. As stated earlier, the Touring and the Limited feature the ESP, which assists drivers in maintaining control of their vehicles during extreme steering maneuvers. When ESP senses that the vehicle is starting to over or understeer, it attempts to correct the vehicles course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels. This innovative feature is not available on the LX. The universal garage opener is available on the Touring and the Limited and the security alarm is standard on the Limited and available for the LX and the Touring.

The Chrysler Sebring Convertible has a number of available options such as remote start system, a navigation system with real-time traffic information, heated/cooled front console cupholder, electroluminescent instrument cluster, windscreen, and power heated mirrors.
2009 Chrysler Sebring Price and Value Assessment
The 2009 Chrysler Sebring LX Convertible has a MSRP of $27,790. The Touring Convertible starts at $30,270 and the Limited Convertible has a MSRP of $35,125. With a MSRP of $27,790 and the best gas mileage of the three (20 city/29 highway), the 2009 Chrysler Sebring LX is considered the best value of all three trim levels.
If offered in good condition, the 2009 Chrysler Sebring Convertible is expected to have a good to fair resale value. Optional equipment and total mileage will also determine the resale value of the vehicle.
