The 2009 Audi TTS is available in two body styles – the hardtop Coupe or the two-seat, convertible-top Roadster – like the conventional TT models. The consumer can choose between the Premium, Premium Plus, or Prestige feature configurations.
The Audi TTS 2.0T comes with a 2.0L turbocharged, inline four-cylinder engine. This engine comes with gasoline direct injection, turbocharger with intercooler, four valves per cylinder and continuous camshaft adjustment. What this means is a technologically advanced system for the best performance out of every gallon gas and offers 265 horsepower on top of it all. It comes standard with the S tronic dual clutch automatic transmission, which features Audi launch control. This helps to maximize the vehicle acceleration from a standstill.
What effect does all this have on the fuel economy rating? According to Audi, the fuel economy rating of the 2009 TTS Coupe 2.0T is 21 miles per gallon in the city and 29 miles per gallon on the highway. This then creates the combined rating of 24 miles per gallon. If we look at the 2009 Audi TTS Roadster 2.0T, we find the same 2.0L turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with the same additional systems and it comes paired to the same S tronic dual clutch automatic transmission. Even though the roadster is slightly heavier than the coupe, at 3373 pounds, the fuel economy ratings are the same.
