Toyota completed their SUV/crossover lineup with the introduction of the Highlander in 2003. Using a Camry-based chassis, the Highlander offered SUV styling with a more refined ride than the rugged 4Runner. For 2004, optional seven-passenger seating was available. In 2006, lineup of Toyota hybrid vehicles grew with the release of the Highlander hybrid. The Toyota Highlander comes with a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty and gets an estimated 23-25 mpg on the highway.
