The Chrysler Crossfire is essentially a carry-over for 2008. The base has been dropped and the Limited is the only trim available for 2008. A tire pressure monitoring system comes included with the 2008 Crossfire. |

The 2008 Chrysler Crossfire, which borrows underpinnings from the previous-generation Mercedes-Benz SLK and is assembled by coachbuilder Karmann in Germany, is available as either a grand-touring sports coupe or a Roadster. The Crossfire has an especially tight, stiff structure, and handling is a strong point; plus, its seats are also among the best when compared with other small roadster models. |

Overview: |
|
Chrysler's 2008 Crossfire is offered with a single engine, a 215-horsepower, 3.2L V6. It can be matched with either a five-speed automatic transmission with AutoStick manual selection or a six-speed manual gearbox.
There are two body styles available. The coupe has a classic, flowing shape with an especially distinctive boattail rear-end design, while the roadster has a soft-top convertible arrangement combined with special fairings and satin-silver-painted sport bars just behind the seats.
The Crossfire has a very stiff body structure that Chrysler claims is stiffer than the Porsche Boxster's, along with four-wheel anti-lock brakes and a sport-tuned suspension. The steering has a recirculating ball design.
Driver and passenger knee air bags are standard, along with electronic stability control for increased safety during emergency maneuvers or on slippery surfaces.
Both body styles can be had in the Limited trim. The Limited models have sound insulation, heated leather seats, power folding heated mirrors, and an Infinity Modulus six-speaker sound system. The Limited also gets satin silver accents, white-on-black gauges, and metallic finish for the center console, and the head restraints are embossed with the Chrysler badge. All Crossfires come with high-speed, Z-rated performance tires, 18-inch in front and 19-inch in back. Options include a GPS navigation system. |
