With the introduction of the CR-V in 1996, Honda helped establish the market for smaller, more manageable SUVs. While other mini-utes are straying away from the small dimensions that made them popular, the CR-V maintains a similar size to that of the original. The biggest difference between the earlier generations and the one released for 2007 is that the new model is three inches wider and offers improved ride quality, handling capabilities and interior comfort. The new CR-V has a more upscale appearance that features flowing body lines, a high beltline and an eye-catching front end. The Honda CR-V comes with a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty and gets an estimated 20 mpg on the highway.
